For the premiere of her film “Into The Woods”, Emily Blunt chose a dress fit for a fairy tale. Dolce and Gabbana designed this bold floral printed frock, and the style is emblematic of their much-loved look. The bright crimson embroidery nearly matched the red carpet beneath her feet and the sheer paneling stopped the ensemble from being too covered-up. The full skirt adds a fun vintage-looking element to the final effect. Of course, the actress paired the gown with a matching bright red lip.

#9: Emmy Awards (2010)

At the 2010 Emmys, Emily wore a fun and feminine one shoulder gown by Christian Dior. The lavender hue of the dress perfectly complements Blunt’s English rose coloring. Even though the gown itself was adorned with applique flowers, the actress added jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz to bring it all together. She kept her makeup cool-toned to match the color of the gown, and accessorized with a sparkling hair pin in her sleek locks. It surely doesn’t hurt that she and John Krasinski always look so darn happy together!

#8: Academy Awards (2016)

Rocking a baby bump in a red carpet gown isn’t always easy, but Emily Blunt pulled it off in one of her best outfits ever at the 88th Academy Awards. Her chosen dress highlighted her protruding tummy without drawing too much attention to it, perfectly striking an elegant balance. The delicate straps of the gown were embellished with crystals, as were the skirt and bodice. She paired the pale pink gown with similarly rosy-hued makeup, which coordinated well rather than seeming too matchy-matchy. For her hair, she opted for a streamlined old-Hollywood wave that really let the dress shine.

#7: Academy Awards (2018)

At the 2018 Oscars, Emily Blunt was promoting her upcoming project, “Mary Poppins Returns”, and chose a dress that matched the prim and proper style of the character she has famously portrayed. Her stylist, Jessica Paster, said that she was aiming for “a whimsical, ethereal look that had a little edge,” and they definitely achieved their goal. The pale blue dress was designed by Schiaparelli Haute Couture, and had been seen not long before on the runway at Couture Fashion Week in Paris. It was definitely a departure for the actress, who often chooses more streamlined pieces. Of the dress, she said, ““It’s like nothing I’ve ever worn before!”

At the 2015 Golden Globes, Blunt was nominated for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her role in “Into The Woods”. She chose a classic grecian style gown for the occasion, designed by the esteemed Michael Kors. The overall look is like the best toga-party dress you could ever imagine, but elevated in a way only she could pull off. The material is expertly draped, and the triangular cutout adds a little extra intrigue. Her dangling blue earrings give a pop of color to the all-white ensemble and her cute braided updo made the whole look feel fun and youthful.

#5: Golden Globe Awards (2013)

Emily Blunt utilized strategically placed cutouts in the gown she wore to the 2013 Golden Globes as well! This golden Michael Kors dress made the actress look statuesque and the subtle fit and flare style was ultimately flattering. The intricate lace of the fabric featured subtle shimmering details that made Blunt glow as she walked down the red carpet. With such a standout gown, Emily opted to go simple for her hair and makeup, pairing the outfit with a pink lip and a classic bun.

The theme at the Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala in 2015 was “China: Through the Looking Glass” and Emily Blunt opted for an ensemble that directly referenced the exhibition. The Prada dress that she chose was reminiscent of a traditional kimono, featuring a classically Asian-inspired print. The thing that really made this outfit stand out though was the perfectly coordinated cape that Blunt donned on top of her dress. This has got to be one of the most elegant looks we’ve ever seen the star in!

#3: Golden Globe Awards (2010)

The actress looked every bit the English rose in a pale pink hued Dolce & Gabbana dress at the 2010 Golden Globes. Choosing a look that was a little sultrier than she typically opts for, Blunt looked radiant in this strapless tulle creation. The rough edges of the fabric gave is a more irreverent, deconstructed look, which when paired with her loose waves made this red carpet ensemble seem quite breezy and laid back. She carried a clutch by Salvatore Ferragamo and bold cuff bracelets that perfectly complemented the rest of the look.

#2: amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala (2010)

During the Cannes International Film Festival, Emily Blunt took part in an event supporting charitable organization amfAR Cinema Against AIDS. The event took place at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, and Blunt looked absolutely stunning in a bold red gown created by Edition by Georges Chakra. It doesn’t always work to perfectly match your lipstick to the fabric of your clothing, but Blunt totally pulled it off on this occasion. The star proved that red really is her color when she sported the hue again a few years later at the Edge of Tomorrow New York Premiere when she wore a gorgeous Prada dress.

Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.

For the occasion, she chose a figure hugging bandage style dress by Herve Leger that flowed into a fit and flare style hem.
